I have been at GSCC since July 2012, after serving as pastor of a Baptist church in McAdam for six years. My wife Dee and I are both from Nova Scotia, but our two children, Emily and Owen, were born in New Brunswick. We enjoy our home in nearby New Maryland.
After finishing a degree in English at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, I completed seminary studies at Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, NS. I am an avid reader, and can think of fewer recreations better than rummaging through second-hand books. When I’m not reading, you might find me playing a game with the family, watching a movie, out for a walk, or playing the guitar.
I enjoy seeing people grow in their knowledge and understanding of Scripture and come to a fuller grasp of what God is doing in their lives and in the culture around us, and pray that we can become better equipped to be faithful witnesses for Jesus in the world.
I occasionally teach courses in New Testament and Theology for Acadia Divinity College. In January 2021 I began work toward a PhD in theology at International Baptist Theological Study Centre (IBTS) in Amsterdam.
